9:40 a.m. State Road 100, Bunnell
Narcotics. A road patrol deputy noticed that a Ford sedan heading west on S.R. 100 had unusually dark tint — so dark that it was likely illegal.
The deputy conducted a traffic stop. The car smelled of marijuana as the deputy approached.
The driver, a 28-year-old, admitted that he had pot in the car, and "spontaneously uttered that there was an 'ounce of weed' in the rear of the vehicle," according to the deputy's report.
The deputy found 28.9 grams of weed in a paper McDonald's bag in the trunk, and arrested the man.
"It should be known that [the suspect] was extremely cooperative throughout the entirety of the stop," the deputy noted in the report.
10:38 p.m. Pritchard Drive near President Lane, Palm Coast
Narcotics. A deputy was on road patrol when a white sedan driving in the wrong lane of travel forced the deputy to veer into a swale to avoid a crash.
The deputy conducted a traffic stop, and noted in a report that the car wasn’t staying in one lane of travel.
The deputy ran ID information for the people in the car. The man in the passenger seat had a no-contact order in place, and the driver was the protected person.
A deputy took the man to the county jail, where deputies found meth in his wallet.
