Cruze-ing for trouble

8:24 a.m. Hammock Dunes Parkway, Palm Coast. Assist Other Agency: Flagler County deputies helped Ormond Beach Police Department officers who were searching for a stolen car, according to a Sheriff's Office report. The car, a black 2015 Chevrolet Cruze, had OnStar. OnStar sent police coordinates for the car — near the Hammock Dunes Parkway — then remotely shut off its engine. A deputy checked that area, but didn't find the car. Then OnStar sent new coordinates: The car was somewhere near European Village. Deputies found the empty Chevy backed into a marked parking spot at European Village. It wasn't damaged. They returned it to its owner.

Teen skips school, hangs out at Walmart

8:53a.m. First block of Pope Lane. Missing Juvenile: A woman caught her stepson smoking pot at about 12:20 a.m. She told the boy, a 15-year-old, to go to bed, and they'd deal with it after school the next day, according to a Sheriff's Office report. The boy left the house at about 6:30 a.m., and the woman went into his room to see if there was anything there he wasn't supposed to have. She found a note from the boy saying that he was going to his grandmother's house in Satsuma and that he wasn't running away. The woman called the grandmother, who hadn't seen the boy. She called his school, and they hadn't seen him either. So she called the Sheriff's Office. A deputy found the teen at Walmart.
