My pool-chemical romance
9 a.m. — First Block of Fleetwood Drive. Larceny Motor Vehicle. A man stated that sometime between Dec. 12 and Dec. 14, someone stole two pool poles and pool chemicals from the back of his truck. The man stated the total cost of his loss is $200. There are no suspects or leads at this time.
Dec. 16
Attack of the grass clippings
9:20 a.m. — U.S. 1/Volusia County Line. Property Damage. A man stated his vehicle was hit by debris from a tractor from the city of Bunnell. The deputy made contact with the tractor operator and noted that the tractor was equipped with a grass-cutting attachment. The operator advised he was cutting the grass on the side of the roadway and that some debris could have been thrown toward the roadway. The deputy noted a slight dent and minor scratches to the right rear passenger door of the car.

Social Security card gap
7 a.m. — First Block of Bridgehaven Drive. Larceny Motor Vehicle. A woman stated that she last saw her purse in her vehicle two days prior. The woman stated she left her vehicle unsecured but did not observe anything else to be missing from the vehicle. The woman then stated that her purse contained her Social Security card and birth certificate as well as her two children’s birth certificates and Social Security cards.
The victim told police that her bank card and driver’s license were also in her purse. The woman completed an inventory sheet, canceled her bank card, and notified the Social Security Office of the theft. No suspects or evidence located at this time.

4:30 p.m. — Palm Coast Parkway/U.S. 1. Traffic Stop. A deputy observed a white two-door vehicle traveling on U.S. 1 at an estimated 70 mph. The deputy activated the radar unit in his marked patrol car and both his speedometer and radar patrol speed correlated.
The deputy activated the emergency lights and siren of the patrol car, stopping the vehicle on Palm Coast Parkway.
Upon making contact with the driver, he provided an expired Mexican driver’s license. Upon further investigation, it was determined that this man does not have a Florida driver’s license and that he’s been cited previously by Orange and Volusia counties for no driver’s license. The man was arrested and transported to the Flagler County Inmate Facility.
The dog ate my marijuana
9:50 p.m. — Old Kings Road/ Frontier Drive. Narcotics. A deputy conducted a traffic stop with a car traveling 51 mph in a 35 mph zone. A K-9 deputy arrived on scene to assist. The 18-year-old driver and passenger identified themselves, and the K-9 indicated positive on the vehicle for narcotics.
A search of the vehicle revealed a clear baggy containing 1.6 grams of marijuana under the front passenger seat. The driver said the marijuana was his, and he was placed under arrest for possession of marijuana under 20 grams. He was released at the scene with a notice to appear.

They smelled suspiciously good
2:15 p.m. — 100 Block of Cypress Point Parkway. Larceny Shoplifting. The asset protection officer observed two females select various women’s perfume and makeup products. He observed them conceal the items and pass all points of sale without purchasing the items.
Both females were confronted at the exit, and the stolen items, worth approximately $173.91, were recovered. Both subjects were cooperative and admitted to the theft. They were each issued a notice to appear for the charge of retail theft.
