Repeat customer
12:30 p.m. — 100 Block of Cypress Point Parkway. Larceny. A loss prevention officer contacted deputies in reference to a larceny case. The officer said an unknown white male placed a 32-inch Visio TV worth $248 and an e-Machine desktop computer worth $350 in a shopping cart and proceeded past all points of sale and through the general merchandise exit without paying for the items. The loss prevention officer believes the suspect is the same responsible for a similar incident earlier this month. The identity of the suspect is still unknown.

The officer said he witnessed a male and female selecting various items from the health and beauty area and placing them into a bag. They then entered the guarded area where they opened a box of teeth-whitening stips and placed them in the same bag. The suspects then proceded past all points of sale and attempted to exit the store. The loss prevention officer then identified himself and contained the suspects until Sheriff’s Office deputies arrived. The total value of items recovered was $142.91. The male suspect was arrested for shoplifting, and the female was arrested for shoplifting and possession of marijuana and intent to sell Oxycodone, which were found in her purse.

You can run, but you can't park
4:08 p.m. — First Block of Boulder Rock Drive. Hit and run. A witness reported seeing a small black vehicle making a right turn from the intersection of Boulder Rock Drive onto Palm Coast Parkway westbound, and then cutting across all three lanes and striking another vehicle, which was occupying that same lane already. According to witnesses, the black vehicle continued to travel westbound on Palm Coast Parkway. One witness followed the car to the parking lot of a store located on Belle Terre Parkway, where the suspect's vehicle was improperly parked with half of the vehicle in the spot and the front half of it obstructing the driving aisle.

A deputy made contact with the driver of the vehicle and noted a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from her breath. The deputy observed that she had a hard time standing on her own and staggered as she walked. The suspect refused a breath test and was placed into a holding cell, where she continuously beat on the door and yelled. She was given a criminal citation for the DUI refusal and also for leaving the scene of a crash with property damage.
