Commissioner Revels to speak at BAC Lunch 'n' Learn

Flagler County Commissioner Barbara Revels, president and owner of Coquina Real Estate and Construction, will speak at the Palm Coast Business Assistance Center’s “Fearless and Focused: Women in Business” Lunch 'n' Learn series on Oct. 10.

Her lecture will be titled “Building Self Confidence as a CEO,” according to a news release from the city of Palm Coast.

Revels began working in Flagler County real estate in 1972. She was the first woman president of the Florida Home Builder Association and was a past chairwoman of both the Flagler County Affordable Housing Task Force and the Flagler County Planning Board.

She earned her general contractor’s license in 1986 and was named Florida Builder of the Year by the Florida Home Builders Association in 2006.

She is chairwoman of the Flagler County Economic Opportunity Council and serves on the board of directors for Florida Hospital Flagler.

Revels' lecture will be 11:15 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 10 at the Palm Coast Yacht Club, 1 Yacht Club Drive.

Pioneer Title Services LLC gains new sales representative with 35 years of experience

Pioneer Title Services LLC in Palm Coast has a new sales representative and title agent with more than 35 years of experience.

Laura Leonardo-Flynn is as a licensed title agent and has worked in the title business since she was 16, according to a press release from Pioneer Title Services LLC.

“I feel now is the best time to re-enter the market full time, and I am privileged to be working with ‘pioneers of the industry’ within Flagler County,” Leonardo-Flynn said in the press release. “I am looking forward to working with people that I admire professionally, and that I’ve known for two, and in some cases, three decades."

Leonardo-Flynn was president of the Flagler Chamber of Commerce in 2004, according to the news release. She moved to Palm Coast in 1976.

Bunnell-based landscaping company receives financing

Yellowstone Landscaping Group Inc., based in Bunnell, has received financing from AloStar Business Credit, the lending arm of Birmingham-based AloStar Bank of Commerce.

Yellowstone Landscaping Group is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Gridiron Capital, LLC, according to the press release.

“This refinancing was a very important step in our plans for Yellowstone,” Gridiron Capital Managing Director Owen Tharrington said in a press release. “We believe the company is well positioned to grow as the demand for commercial landscape services increases.”

Yellowstone Landscaping Group was established after Gridiron Capital acquired Atlanta-based Piedmont Landscape Contractors and Houston-based BIO Landscape & Maintenance in 2008, according to the press release, and has expanded its geographic reach throughout the southern U.S.

The company provides landscaping maintenance, design and installation services to hotels, retail properties, homeowner associations, and state and local government departments.

Coldwell Banker Premier Properties gains new associate

Coldwell Banker Premier Properties in Palm Coast has gained a new sales associate with more than 25 years of sales and management experience: Gene D’Avanzo, a licensed Florida real estate agent participating in the Coldwell Banker training program.

“We’re happy to have Gene on our team,” Coldwell Banker Premier Properties Manager Tom Heiser said in a press release.

D’Avonzo, a Navy veteran and New York native, holds degrees from the University of Maryland and National University in San Diego, according to the press release. He lives in the Hammock of Palm Coast.
