Colonel Thomas Francis Conrad
1943-2020

Thomas Francis Conrad was born in Chicago, Illinois on January 4, 1943 to Josephine (O’Reilly) and Elmer Conrad.  

He was the oldest of six children. He is survived by his siblings Geraldine Conrad, Chicago, IL; Catherine Conrad, Salt Lake City, UT; Martin Conrad, San Diego, CA; Laura Meadors, Madison, WI; and Mary Pat Zarcone, Austin TX as well as 10 nieces and nephews.

He is also survived by his wife of 55 years, Margaret (Stone) Conrad, three daughters, Kathleen Conrad, Berlin, Germany; Margaret Hoffmann, (Stephen), Atlanta, GA; and Elizabeth Misak, (Brian), San Diego, CA.  He was the proud grandfather of Sean Hoffmann, Patrick Hoffmann, Bridget Hoffmann, Kevin Misak, Eric Misak and Jessica Misak.

Thomas Conrad was a graduate of Fenwick High School, DePaul University BSC, and Northwestern University, MBA.  He achieved the rank of Colonel in the U.S. Army. His tours of duty included Vietnam, Greece, Iran and Germany as well as various assignments in the U.S.  He retired to Palm Coast, Florida in 1996 where he enjoyed biking, tennis and leadership of the Flagler Gun and Archery Club. Of all his achievements his family was his greatest source of pride. He was a beloved husband, father and grandfather.  His memory will be cherished by family and friends.

A Memorial Mass will be held at Maria Del Mar Catholic Church, Flagler Beach, FL at a date yet to be determined.
