The Palm Coast City Council meets regularly to discuss and vote on official City business. These meetings are open to the public and Palm Coast residents are strongly encouraged to attend. An increase in public engagement helps to build a stronger sense of community, increases valuable discussions, and decreases division.

A special budget workshop meeting will take place beginning at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, August 30. No action will be taken during the workshop. Details of the items on the agenda are listed below.

  • The Financial Services Department will present an overview of the final proposed budget for all appropriated funds. This is the final workshop meeting to discuss the proposed fiscal year 2023 budget before the special budget hearings scheduled for Thursday, September 8th at 5:15 p.m. Financial Services and each Department Director will be available to review each area of the budget.
  • The Public Works Department will present a resolution to approve the fiscal year 2023 fleet replacement and purchase program and associated purchase orders for fleet vehicles and equipment. City staff has strategically worked to secure the best value by piggybacking on other state and national contracts, sole source agreements, and competitive bids. For FY2023, 46 vehicles or equipment need replacing, four items are for the Fire Department, and 30 new assets will be outlines in the presentation.

Public Comments will be opened at the beginning and end of the business meeting in accordance with Section 286.0114 Florida Statutes and pursuant to the City Council’s Meeting Policies and Procedures. Each speaker will approach the podium, provide his/her name and may speak for up to 3 minutes. Comment cards are available for contact information in order for staff to follow up with each speaker.
