Last year, the city continued to buy property along Bulldog Drive, taking more steps in its plans to transform the State Road 100 intersection into a landscaped entrance to Town Center.

But the land was costly, in some cases more than double the appraised value. The indicated previously that one parcel, owned by Gus Ajram, will likely become an eminent domain case.

At Tuesday’s City Council workshop, City Manager Jim Landon will brief council members on the project. The city might back away from eminent domain. Instead, the entrance would be a two-lane entrance as opposed to a four-lane entrance.

Also on Tuesday’s agenda, City Council members will hear a revised version of a proposed park fee system.

A parks and recreation fee structure could institute charges for lights, painting lines on fields and concession stands. Currently, athletics organizations pay no fees for these services.

The City Council will also hold the final proposed budget and millage rate hearing 5:05 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27, at the Palm Coast Community Center.
