Cattleman's Hall returns as Flagler's main site for COVID testing

Effective at 8 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 9, the Florida Department of Health in Flagler County is resuming its COVID-19 testing at the Flagler County Fairgrounds Cattleman’s Hall.

The department announced yesterday it was ending its agreement with Flagler County to offer COVID testing at the Flagler County Fairgrounds. That decision was made after learning that the Governor’s Office and Department of Emergency Management was considering Cattleman’s Hall as a potential site for monoclonal antibody treatments. After further deliberation, state officials selected an alternate location, Daytona State College in Palm Coast.

Health Administrator Robert Snyder said, “We are delighted to resume our COVID testing operations at Cattleman’s Hall. We appreciate the public’s understanding and patience, as well as the opportunity to continue serving residents at the Flagler County Fairgrounds.”

The DOH testing site is open weekdays from 8 a.m. to noon. The Health Department no longer offers testing on weekends.
