Saturday, Sept. 15

Pancake breakfast

When: 9-11 a.m.

Where: First United Methodist Church of Bunnell, Fellowship Hall, 205 N. Pine St., Bunnell

Cost: Suggested $5 donation

Details: First United Methodist Church of Bunnell is inviting the public to a pancake breakfast. Call 437-3258.

 

Birds and books

When: 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Where: Bulow Plantation Ruins Historic State Park, 3501 Old Kings Road S., Flagler Beach

Details: Enjoy a family day at the screened pavilion to celebrate literacy, history and nature. Guest speaker Gina Holt, from Wild About Birds (a nonprofit organization dedicated to environmental education for the benefit of Florida's birds and wildlife), will bring four of her ambassador raptors and talk about conservation, preservation and habitats from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Then, meet longtime historian and Palm Coast resident Bill Ryan, author of six books including "The Search for Grey Eyes" and "I am Grey Eyes.”

 

Monday, Sept. 17

Wellness programs

When: 10-11 a.m.

Where: Palm Coast Community Center, 305 Palm Coast Parkway NE

Cost: Free

Details: The program on Monday, Sept. 17, will be led by PT Solutions and will provide information on working your muscles to move better, bend more easily and reach higher. The program on Wednesday, Sept. 19, will feature the monthly wellness screening with this month’s theme of musculoskeletal issues. Florida Hospital Flagler personnel will provide the free screening. Flagler Tiger Bay Club to host first luncheon

When: 11:30 a.m.

Where: Hammock Beach Club, 200 Ocean Crest Drive

Cost: Membership includes lunch and speaker fees

Details: The guest speaker will be Husein Cumber, the executive vice president for corporate development for Florida East Coast Industries, LLC. He will discuss the possibility of a high-speed train coming to Flagler County. Attendees must be members of the club or be invited as a guest by a club member. Tuesday, Sept. 18

Food Truck Tuesday

When: 5-8 p.m.

Where: Central Park in Town Center, 975 Central Ave.

Cost: Price of food

Details: Join the city of Palm Coast and Florida Hospital Flagler in the fight against breast cancer at the Pink Army 5K kickoff during the next Food Truck Tuesday. Wear pink. Proceeds will go toward the Pink Army 5K Walk/Run, which will be held Oct. 14. Visit https://www.palmcoastgov.com/Pink5K.
