Friday, Feb. 16

Free tennis for adults

When: 10:30-11:30 a.m.

Where: Palm Coast Tennis Center, 1290 Belle Terre Parkway

Cost: Free

Details: The Palm Coast Tennis Center is offering three sessions of a free introductory clinic – two for adults and one for children. Register in advance at palmcoastgov.com/register. Call 986-2550. The other two tennis free clinics are 10:30-11:30 a.m. Friday, March 23, for adults, and 10:30-11:30 a.m. Saturday, March 24, for kids.

 

Saturday, Feb. 17

Race the Runways for Rotary Club of Flagler Beach

When: 6-10 p.m.

Where: Flagler County Airport, 201 Airport Road

Cost: Registration is now $30 by Feb. 16, and $35 the day of

Details: The 5K will be a nighttime event to run or walk down the runway of the airport. Runway lights will illuminate the way. Participants are encouraged to wear glow-in-the-dark clothing and accessories. Signup at flaglerbeachrotary.org.

 

Saturday, Feb. 24

Flagler Volunteer Services Gala

When: 6 p.m.

Where: Hilton Garden Inn, 55 Town Center Blvd.

Cost: Tickets are $50 per person and $45 per FVS volunteer

Details: The “Carnival in Venice” gala fundraising event will feature performances by Flagler Youth Orchestra and the Flagler Palm Coast High School dance group. School Board Member Andy Dance will be the emcee. Palm Coast Mayor Milissa Holland will be the auctioneer. Call 597-2950.

 

Monday, Feb. 26

‘The McCartney Years’

When: 7:30 p.m.

Where: Flagler Auditorium, 5500 E. Highway 100

Cost: $34.95

Details: The McCartney Years, which is the international touring production of Paul McCartney’s music (spanning from The Beatles to Wings) is coming to Flagler Auditorium. Call 437-7547. Visit bit.ly/2nWQjo3.

 

Sunday, March 4

Sheltering Tree Fundraiser

When: Doors open at 5 p.m., dinner at 6 p.m.

Where: Elks Lodge #2709, 53 Old Kings Road N.

Cost: Tickets are $35 each

Details: The second-annual “Have a Heart for the Homeless” dinner and dance will raise money for the shelter assisting new, near or chronically homeless. Music and entertainment provided by “Debbie Owen and Tony T.”  Raffles and door prizes. Reserve tickets by calling 437-3258 ex. 105 or emailing [email protected]. Tickets are also available at Aimee’s Hallmark Shop at Palm Harbor Shopping Village in Palm Coast.
