Friday, June 7

Portugal Day flag-raising

When: 6 p.m.

Where: Palm Coast City Hall, 160 Lake Ave.

Cost: Free

Details: The city of Palm Coast invites the public to a Portugal Day flag-raising ceremony, presented by the city and the Portuguese American Cultural Center. Event Organizer John Furao will emcee, and Mayor Milissa Holland will welcome guests to the ceremony. During the event, the flags of the United States and Portugal will be raised in celebration of Portugal Day. Several presentations will be made, and there will be traditional Portuguese dancing and musical performances. Contact Kimberly Norman at 986-3717 and [email protected]. If there's rain, the event will be held in city hall, in the Council Chambers.

‘The Lion King’

Where: Flagler Auditorium, 5500 State Road 100

Shavuot Dairy Dessert Showdown

When: 6:30 p.m.

Where: Temple Beth Shalom, 40 Wellington Drive

Cost: Free

Details: There will be a Shavuot Dairy Dessert Showdown following the reading of Exodus Chapter 19, highlighting Moses receiving the Ten Commandments at Mount Sinai. Call 445-3006.

Where: Temple Beth Shalom, 40 Wellington Drive

'Movies in the Park'

When: 8:45 p.m.

Where: Central Park in Town Center, 975 Central Ave.

Details: Palm Coast Parks & Recreation and Flagler Schools present “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales.” Closed captioning is provided with the monthly movie.

Celebrate Philippine Independence

Details: Philippine American Association of Palm Coast will celebrate the 121st anniversary of Philippine Independence.
