Details: MPower Fitness will host the second-annual Party in Pink Zumbathon for breast cancer. Last year’s event brought in 75 women spanning from Jacksonville to Daytona Beach, raising $1,125 for breast cancer research. Proceeds raised for the event will go to The Zumba Global Research Grant for Breast Cancer Prevention, a grant that annually generates over $3 million for Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation. Details: Bring your friends and family and get ready to scream as the city of Palm Coast brings aliens from your favorite moments in pop culture to life. This haunted house and show, with volunteer characters (many of whom are firefighters and other city employees), is recommended for ages 12 and older. No young children. Details: The American Flag Project, a nonprofit organization in Palm Coast, is pursuing a World Record with the goal of the largest number of people waving an American flag in one place. There were 468 people at last year’s event, so the nonprofit is still working toward an outstanding record. The nonprofit will hand out American flags for a $1 donation. The flag event will be held at 2 p.m., during the Freedom Fest 2018, which takes place from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. The Freedom Fest will feature a veterans celebration, concerts, fireworks, food, beer, vendors and military aircraft displays.
