Friday, May 18

Choral Arts Society 20th Anniversary Concert

When: 7 p.m.

Where: St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 5400 Belle Terre Parkway

Cost: Free

Saturday, May 19

Family barbecue and health fair

When: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Where: George Washington Carver Center, 203 E. Drain Street, Bunnell

Cost: Free

Details: There will be food and fun for the whole family. Vendors will provide information in the areas of health, education, financial literacy, employment, legal aid and various other topics that strengthen family units.

 

Haitian Flag Day Cultural Celebration

When: 2-6 p.m.

Where: Holland Park, 18 Florida Park Drive

Cost: Free; donations if desired

Details: The event is organized by International Family Relief, which consists of a few prominent members in the Haitian community of Palm Coast. The goal is to have people of all backgrounds come to learn and enjoy Haitian culture, including food and music. All proceeds will go toward building homes for those needed in Haiti. 

 

Foreign Lands art exhibit

When: 5-7 p.m.

Where: Berkshire Hathaway Gallery, 101 Palm Coast Parkway, Suite 145

Cost: Free

Details: The fine art exhibit featuring mixed media paintings is by Palm Coast artist Diana Gilson. Exhibit curators are Paul H. Beaulieu and Thomas Anastasio.

 

An evening with the Dixie Echoes

When: 6:30-8:30 p.m.

Where: Flagler West Community Church, County Road 305, Bunnell

Cost: Free

Details: Everyone is invited to attend an evening with the "Dixie Echoes,” who were recently voted by the Singing News Fan Awards as one of America's Top Ten gospel quartets. Contact Pastor L. P. "Pat" Heuer at 256-201-7469.

 

Sunday, May 20

Spring band concert

When: 2 p.m.

Where: European Village

Cost: Free

Details: During the Palm Coast farmer’s market, the Palm Coast Community Band will play a concert to entertain the Sunday crowd. The Palm Coast Community Band is a group of about thirty musicians who meet once a week to share the joy of making music. All are welcome. There are no auditions. Saturday, May 26

Annual pool safety day

When: 1-4 p.m

Where: Frieda Zamba Swimming Pool, 339 Parkview Drive

Cost: $1 for 17 years and under, and $2 for adults and seniors

Details: The pool will be open seven days a week starting May 26, the day of the city’s annual Pool Safety Day. Activities will include pool games and mini learn-to-swim classes, and information will be provided on water safety and basic first aid. No need to sign up in advance.
