Calendar: Palm Coast Veterans Day ceremony slated for Heroes Memorial Park

Veterans appreciation festival

When: 5-9 p.m. Friday; 1-3 and 5-9 p.m. Saturday; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday

Where: Beach Front Grille, 2444 South Ocean Shore Blvd., Flagler Beach

Cost: Free food for military veterans

Details: There will be live music performances, including Taps at 7 p.m. Friday. Veteran's organizations are invited to have a table/booth at the event at no cost. Those interested in participating are asked to call the restaurant at 693-4839.Visit for details.


Saturday, Nov. 10

Annual Bazaar

When: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Where: St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Hall, 4600 Belle Terre Parkway

Cost: Price of goods

Details: The Sea Ladies Guild will present the annual bazaar, Chinese auction and bake sale. Arts and crafts, baked goods, American Girl doll fashion and more will be on sale. The event also takes place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 11. The Chinese auction will be on Sunday. Call 446-8013 or 986-1759.


DAV fundraiser

When: 5:30-8:30 p.m.

Where: Hammock Wine and Cheese, 5368 N. Oceanshore Blvd.

Cost: Tickets are $10

Details: Take Action Properties is sponsoring a fundraiser the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 86. The ticket includes a glass of wine or beer and entry into a drawing. There will be live music by Shaker Jones and a food truck. Call Jesse at (608) 358-0917.


Battle of the Sexes

When: 7:30-10:30 p.m.

Where: Palm Coast Community Center, 305 Palm Coast Parkway NE

Cost: $10 admission

Details: Presented by Clout Productions, this event is a game-themed party for women versus men. There will be music, food and drinks. Dress code: cocktail attire for women and “smart casual for men. No sneakers, slides or flip flops. Age 21 and up. Visit for more.

Bethune-Cookman Choir Concert

When: 5 p.m.

Where: Mt. Calvary Baptist Church of Palm Coast, 75 Pine Lakes Parkway S.

Details: The Bethune-Cookman University Choir will perform.


Monday, Nov. 12

Palm Coast Veterans Day ceremony

When: 8 a.m.

Where: Heroes Memorial Park, 2860 Palm Coast Parkway NW

Cost: Free

Details: Speakers for the event will be State Rep. Paul Renner, Florida House of Representatives District 24; Edward Beier of American Legion Post 115; and Palm Coast Mayor Milissa Holland. In case of rain, the ceremony will be held at nearby Fire Station 21, 9 Corporate Drive.


Nov. 13

Russian Orthodox concert

When: 7 p.m.

Where: Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 4600 Belle Terre Parkway

Cost: Free

Details: Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church will host a concert featuring the world traveled ChorRuss vocal ensamble. There will be music from the russian orthodox tradition, as well as russian folk music.

Gun accident prevention kids program

When: 4:30-5:30 p.m.

Details: Pre-kthrough fourth-graders are our most vulnerable people when it comes to gun safety. Palm Coast Parks and Recreation, teaming with the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office, presents the Eddie Eagle GunSafe Program, offering three November gun accident prevention programs for kids: Nov. 13 for pre-k and kindergarten, Nov. 14 for first to second grade and Nov. 15 for third and fourth grade. Harvest Moon Gala

Details: Flagler County’s Open Door Re-Entry and Recover Ministry will host the third-annual Harvest Moon Gala to benefit the Christian-based nonprofit, with funds going toward the creation and operation of residential recovery homes in Flagler County that aim to transform drug and alcohol abusers through a 6 to 12-month program.
