Wednesday, Nov. 28

Compassionate Friends meeting

When: 5:30 p.m.

Where: VITAS office, 4 N. Old Kings Road

Cost: Free

Details: The Compassionate Friends, a nonprofit self-help bereavement support organization, welcomes any parent, grandparent and sibling over age 18 who have suffered the loss of a child of any age. Call John Brady at 610-428-3139.

 

Friday, Nov. 30

Grace Community Food Pantry fundraiser

When: 6:30-8:30 p.m.

Where: Painting with a Twist Palm Coast, 250 Palm Coast Parkway NE, Unit 207

Cost: $35 per seat

Details: Painting with a Twist will be hosting this fundraiser to support Grace Community Food Pantry. The pantry helps those in need with food every weekend and has a Fed By Grace Backpack Program, which works along with Flagler County Schools to get food to students in need every weekend. Nov. 30 to Dec. 1

Weekend of spiritually and music

When: several times throughout the weekend

Where: Temple Beth Shalom, 40 Wellington Drive

Cost: $18 for temple members; $20 for non-members

Details: Internationally-known composer, performer and educator Beth Hamon will be the featured artists for the weekend. On Friday, at 7:15 p.m., the Sabbath services will begin. Saturday at 10 a.m., there will be at Torah talk. A Café Concert will be at 7 p.m. Saturday, featuring songs and messages by Hamon, with a light fare. Holiday of Hope Craft Fair

When: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Where: Cattleman’s Hall, 150 Sawgrass Road, Bunnell

Cost: Free admission

Details: The Live Like Cameron Foundation will host its second-annual craft fair to benefit the nonprofit that helps local families with cancer. Shop from local artists selling handcrafted goods. There will be live music by Sweet Melissa Music, raffle drawings, visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus, food vendors and more. Visit https://livelikecameron.org.

 

Saturday, Dec. 8

Flagler Youth Orchestra performance

When: 11 a.m.

Where: Pine Lakes Golf Club

Cost: Lunch is available for $17

Details: American Association of University Women Flagler welcomes the Flagler Youth Orchestra and its Sounds of the Season to its monthly meeting. FYO is all about giving children the gift of music, a gift Cheryl Tristam and Jonathan May believe they will carry with them for the rest of their lives. In addition to instruction and free enrollment for any Flagler County resident, instrument scholarships, for those in need, are also available. AAUW Flagler has consistently supported the efforts to grow and sustain this program through contributions for instrument scholarships and through our own Arts Grants Scholarship. VITAS Bereavement Support Group

When: 10:30 a.m. to noon

Where: IHOP (private dining area), 212 Palm Coast Parkway NE

Cost: Free

Details: VITAS Healthcare and Calvary Christian Center invite the public to reconnect with the holiday spirit in a supportive workshop. There will be a group on Dec. 15 and Jan. 19. To RSVP, call Chaplain Carmen at 843-8794.
