Thursday, June 28

Moonrise at the Beach

When: 8:30-9 p.m.

Where: Gamble Rogers Memorial State Recreation Area, 3100 S. Ocean Shore Blvd., Flagler Beach

Cost: Free with park admission

Details: Guests will learn fun and interesting facts about the moon and the coastal ecosystem. Enjoy the spectacular view, and bring binoculars and a camera for photo opportunities. All ages are welcome; minors must be accompanied by an adult. This event is subject to cancellation due to weather conditions. The group will meet at the beachside pavilion on the east side of the park. Call 517-2086.

 

Sunday, July 1

Mini triathlon: swimming

When: 10-11 a.m.

Where: Frieda Zamba Swimming Pool, 339 Parkview Drive

Cost: $20

Details: Want to get the kids out of the house and get active? Take part in the Mini-Triathlon Challenge. Other dates are July 8, 15, and 22. It is open to children ages 8 to 17. Pre-registration required at https://www.palmcoastgov.com/register. Call 986-4741.

 

Unity service

When: 11 a.m.

Where: St. Mark by the Sea Evangelical Lutheran Church, 303 Palm Coast Parkway

Cost: Free

Details: The Emmanuel Slavic Evangelical church is having a joint unity service with St. Mark by the Sea, followed by a pot luck. The service will be in Russian as well as English. Both pastors will officiate with communion. The blended service will feature hymns that are common in both churches, and instrumentals and choral pieces will be performed by both churches.

 

Wednesday, July 4

‘Celebrate America’ concert

When: 1-2:30 p.m.

Where: St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 5400 Belle Terre Parkway

Cost: Free

Details: Choral Arts Society will provide a concert of Americana and patriotic music with many of your favorites. There is no admission charge, but tax-free donations are accepted to assist in providing scholarships to local college-bound students. Visit http://www.casfl.org.

 

July 2 through Aug. 13

Line dancing classes

When: Mondays from 6-8 p.m.

Where: Palm Coast Community Center, 305 Palm Coast Parkway NE

Cost: $3 per week

Details: Enjoy this line dancing program made for beginners. No previous experience is necessary. Pre-registration is required at https://www.palmcoastgov.com/register. Call 986-2323.
