Saturday, Nov. 3

Hidden Trails Community Sale

When: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Where: Hidden Trails Community Park, 6108 Mahogany Blvd., Bunnell

Details: The public is invited to shop at the community-wide garage sale. The “rain/bad weather” date is Nov. 17. Call 295-0611.

 

Sunday, Nov. 4

Artisan Bazaar

When: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Where: Temple Beth Shalom, 40 Wellington Drive

Cost: Free admission

Details: North Florida artists will display their work for show and sale at the third-annual Artisan Bazaar at Temple Beth Shalom. At 11 a.m., award-winning artist Bill Shoemaker will invite attendees to participate as he provides instruction on fine drawing techniques. At noon, Janice Creamer will demonstrate creative beading. At 1 p.m., local oil and water color artist Audrey Rosen will discuss insights into the work of the Impressionists. At 2 p.m., Barbara Gary will stimulate participants as she introduces a meditative form of art called Zen Tangles. Call 445-3006.

 

PAAPC picnic

When: noon to 5 p.m.

Where: Palm Coast Community Center, Palm Coast Parkway NE, Room 116

Monday, Nov. 5

Diabetes awareness

When: 8:15 a.m.

Where: Government Services Building, 1769 E. Moody Blvd., Bunnell

Details: The Flagler County Board of County Commissioners will support the Florida Hospital Flagler in its efforts to raise diabetes awareness by raising the “Unite for Diabetes” blue flag. Speakers will include Commissioner Nate McLaughlin, Florida Hospital Flagler Chief Nursing Officer Kathy Gover, Florida Hospital Flagler Foundation Member Laura Gilvary and Flagler County Health Department Administrator Bob Snyder. Meet at the flagpole.

 

Retired Educators meeting

When: 11 a.m.

Where: Education wing of Florida Hospital Flagler,

Details: The Retired Educators Association in Flagler County will meet. Discount lunch is available after the meeting, which will include a guest presentation about healing without surgery. Call 447-3701.

 

Wednesday, Nov. 7

Community Health Fair

When: 9-11 a.m.

Where: 115 Park Place Circle at the pool pavilion

Details: Cardiologist Dean Abtahi and Gastroenterologist Issam Nasr will be present. There will be free screenings for blood pressure, blood glucose and more, as well as health education information. Contact David Rosenthal at [email protected]

AAUW Welcomes Faith Bryant

When: 11 a.m.

Where: Pine Lakes Golf Club, 400 Pine Lakes Parkway

Cost: $17/person for lunch

Details: American Association of University Women Flagler welcomes Faith Bryant, vocational specialist with Daytona State College, to its monthly meeting. Bryant serves as the Diversity Chair for the American Red Cross Space Coast Chapter and is involved with the Center for Women and Men at Daytona State. DAV fundraiser

When: 5:30-8:30 p.m.

Where: Hammock Wine and Cheese, 5368 N. Oceanshore Blvd.

Cost: Tickets are $10

Details: Take Action Properties is sponsoring a fundraiser the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 86. The ticket includes a glass of wine or beer and entry into a drawing. There will be live music by Shaker Jones and a food truck. Call Jesse at (608) 358-0917.

 

Battle of the Sexes

When: 7:30-10:30 p.m.

Where: Palm Coast Community Center, 305 Palm Coast Parkway NE

Cost: $10 admission
