Friday, July 27

Free health screenings

When: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Where: Palm Coast Community Center, 305 Palm Coast Parkway NE

Details: As part of Parks and Recreation Month, Florida Hospital Flagler and the Palm Coast Parks and Recreation Department are hosting this event. To help residents reduce their risk of heart disease and other common health problems, screening services will include: musculoskeletal; blood pressure; weight, height and BMI; carbon monoxide; and ankle-brachial index. Information will be provided about a number of health services available.

 

Monday, July 30

Les Moineaux boys choir

When: 7 p.m.

Where: St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 4600 Belle Terre Parkway

Cost: Free

Details: This choir has been in existence for over 65 years and features music ranging from 16th-century motets to French folk music. Conductor Francoise Olivier is the titular organist at the Church of St. Eustache in Paris. Call St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church at 445-2246.

 

July 30 to Aug. 17

Free Immunizations

When: 8-11 a.m. and 1-3 p.m.

Where: DOH-Flagler, 301 Dr. Carter Blvd., Bunnell

Details: The Florida Department of Health in Flagler will offer immunizations for students Monday to Friday from July 30 to Aug. 17. No appointment necessary. Parents and guardians are asked to bring their child’s immunization record, insurance card and photo ID. Please call the Health Department at 437-7350, ext. 7095. 

 

Thursday, Aug. 2

Stuff Bus

When: 4-7 p.m.

Where: Walmart, 174 Cypress Point Parkway

Cost: donations

Details: Flagler Broadcasting will be collecting back to school donations to “STUFF the limo” with school supplies. All supplies will go to the Flagler County Education Foundation STUFF Bus program. More than 60% of Flagler Schools students are on free and reduced lunch.

 

Saturday, Aug. 4

First aid and CPR/AED course

When: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Where: Palm Coast Fire Station 25, 1250 Belle Terre Parkway

Cost: $50 per person

Details: This class is a seven-hour course (one hour for lunch) designed to meet OSHA regulations and teach administering CPR to children and adults, using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), using a mask or barrier device and assisting with bleeding, broken bones.
