Thursday, June 27

PCAF turtle sculpture unveiling

When: 1 p.m.

Where: Old Kings Elementary School, 301 Old Kings Road S., Flagler Beach

Cost: Free

Details: As the fourth sculpture in its Turtle Trail project, the Palm Coast Arts Foundation will unveil “Pablo,” thanks to PCAF trustee G. Lindsey Florence, who sponsored the turtle sculpture for the Flagler Palm Coast High School art club to create. Call 225-4394 or email [email protected].

 

Tuesday, July 2

Flagler Sportfishing Club meeting

When: 7 p.m.

Where: Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8696, 47 Old Kings Road N.

Cost: Free

Details: The ice cream social starts at 7 p.m., with the general meeting at 7:30 p.m. and the guest speaker at 8:15 p.m. Learn how to fish at night, in preparation of the club’s overnight tournament in July.

 

Wednesday, July 3

'Fireworks in the Park' festivities

When: beginning at 6 p.m.

Where: Central Park in Town Center, 975 Central Ave., Palm Coast

Details: Celebrate Independence Day with the city of Palm Coast’s patriotic ceremony and fireworks display — newly combined this year to offer one big festive, free evening. Beginning at 5 p.m., the intersection of Lake Avenue and City Place, and its immediate vicinity, will be closed off. The fun starts at 6 p.m. with music, face painting, trackless train, cornhole, inflatable basketball and Ultimate Battle Zone Sports nerf games. New this year is a patriotic ceremony at 7 p.m. Fireworks will begin at 9 p.m. While food and drinks will be available for purchase from various food trucks, coolers and pop-up tents are also allowed. Please bring your own chairs, sunscreen and bug spray. Chairs can be set up around the lake. Do not bring your own fireworks. Call 986-2323.

 

Thursday, July 4

Flagler Beach 4th of July

When: 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Where: Veterans Park, 101 Flagler Beach to Marineland Trail, Flagler Beach

Details: There will be a 5K at 7-8 a.m. The Fabulous Fourth Parade on A1A will be at 10-11 a.m. Kids games and entertainment at Veterans Park throughout the day. Fireworks at the pier will be at 9-9:30 p.m. Free parking and shuttle buses from State Road 100 Badcock Furniture Plaza. Visit https://tinyurl.com/y64g2cwy for the full schedule of events.

 

Bull Creek's Fabulous Fourth

When: 5 p.m.

Where: Bull Creek Fish Camp, 3861 W County Road 2006, Bunnell

Details: At the fifth-annual event, there will be live music, a kid's zone, fireworks and food and drink specials.

 

Sunday, July 7

FIFA World Cup Finals Watch Party

When: 11 a.m.

Where: Palm Coast Community Center, 305 Palm Coast Parkway NE

Cost: $1/person

Details: The FIFA World Cup is here again. Join the city of Palm Coast to watch the finals match to see which country is crowned best in the world. Saturday, July 13

Kids Fishing Clinic

When: 9 a.m. to noon

Where: Herschel King Park, 1000 Grady Prather Jr. Cove, off Colbert Lane

Cost: Free

Details: Kids age 5-12 may attend with a parent. The Flagler Sportfishing Club, along with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservaton Commission, Fish Florida and volunteers, will conduct a rogram of six skill stations, which will teach the participants about casting, habitat, proper fish handling, conservation, knot tying and how to throw a cast net.
