Friday, June 21

Senior Summer Celebration Cookout

When: 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Where: Palm Coast Community Center, 305 Palm Coast Parkway

Cost: $5/person

Details: Hot dogs, hamburgers and fixings will be provided. Participants are encouraged to bring a side dish. Sign up at the front desk with the dish you are bringing. Pre-registration required at http://www.parksandrec.fun/seniors. Call 986-2323.

 

Dive-In Movies

When: 8 p.m.

Where: Palm Coast Aquatics Center, 339 Parkview Drive

Cost: $1/seniors & youth and $2/adults

Details: Just bring your swimsuit and enjoy the show. Dive-in movie nights at the Palm Coast Aquatics Center provides a unique outdoor movie viewing experience for the entire family. Alzheimer’s event

When: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Where: Central Park in Town Center, 975 Central Ave.

Cost: admission is $5; VIP admission is $20 (only 21 and older)

Details: The outdoor, Latin-themed event will support the Alzheimer’s Association. All ages are welcome to enjoy live music by Dave Santiago and Latin Affair Orchestra from New York City, as well as over 50 vendors with food and crafts. Proceeds will support The Longest Day,” an Alzheimer’s Association initiative that encourages participants to combat the darkness of Alzheimer’s through the activity of their choice, on the summer solstice. ‘Facing Grief Together’ meeting

When: 5:30-6:30 p.m.

Where: VITAS office, 4 Old Kings Road N.

Cost: Free

Details: Facing Grief Together (formerly known as the Compassionate Friends), a nonprofit self-help bereavement support organization, welcomes any parent, grandparent and sibling over age 18 who have suffered the loss of a child of any age. Call John Brady at 610-428-3139.

Art show reception

When: 6-8 p.m.

Where: Berkshire Hathaway Home Services Fortune Group Properties Gallery, European Village, 101 Palm Coast Parkway, Suite 145.

Details: “Transitions” will be on display through Oct. 25. The exhibit curators are Paul Beaulieu and Thomas Anastasio. The 2018 Gargiulo Arts Foundation Flagler Artist of the Year Trish Vevera is showing 30 works representing oil and acrylics from plein air, non-objective and abstract. Refreshments will be served.

 

Starting July 1

Fun in the Sun Summer Camp

When: 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, July 1, to Friday, Aug. 9

Where: Palm Coast Community Center, 305 Palm Coast Parkway NE

Cost: $95/week

Details: There will be a variety of age-appropriate, fun-filled, themed activities, such as arts and crafts, stories, recreational games, nature hikes, swimming, field trips and special guest presentations. Family fitness
