Monday, Sept. 3

Teen Adventure Trip: Xscape Our Room

When: 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

Where: leaving from the Palm Coast Community Center, 305 Palm Coast Parkway NE

Cost: $50 per person

Details: When school is out, the fun is in for teens 13-17. Registration fee includes admission fees for the attraction and round-trip bus transportation. This month: Xscape Our Room in St. Augustine. Pre-registration required at https://www.parksandrec.fun/teens. Call 986-2323.

 

Tuesday, Sept. 4

Palm Coast Shredders

When: 6-7 p.m.

Where: Linear Park, 31 Greenway Court

Cost: $5 for the four-week session

Details: As part of its new teen program, the city of Palm Coast will offer teen mountain biking where locals can explore trails and learn off-road bike skills. Sessions are on Tuesday evenings from Sept. 4-25 and Oct. 2-23. Ages 12-18. Please bring your own mountain bike and helmet. Register at https://www.parksandrec.fun/teens.

 

Wednesday, Sept. 5

Eddie Eagle GunSafe Program

When: 4:30-5:30 p.m.

Where: Palm Coast Community Center, 305 Palm Coast Parkway NE

Cost: Free

Details: Palm Coast Parks and Recreation is partnering with the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office to provide the official Eddie Eagle GunSafe Program. The pre-K and kindergarten class will be Sept. 5. The first- and second-graders class is on Sept. 6. The third- and fourth-graders will meet Sept. 7.  No actual firearms will be used. Pre-register at http://www.parksandrec.fun/youth. Friday, Sept. 7

The Chill Zone

When: 5-10:30 p.m.

Where: Palm Coast Community Center, 305 Palm Coast Parkway NE

Cost: $5 per night

Details: Hang out at the Community Center, eat pizza, listen to music, watch movies and play video games with other teens. Chill Zone will be 5-10:30 p.m. Fridays, Sept. 7, Oct. 5, Nov. 2 and Dec. 7. Ages 13-17.

 

Saturday, Sept. 8

ISTC Fall Festival

When: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Where: Central Park in Town Center, 975 Central Ave.

Cost: Free entry; $10 wristbands to ride inflatables and make crafts

Details: The Imagine School at Town Center Parent Teacher Organization will hold the school’s first fall festival, featuring crafts, music, inflatables and food trucks. Local businesses will sponsor the event.

 

Tuesday, Sept. 11

FCSO Citizen’s Academy

When: 6-9 p.m.

Where: Emergency Operations Building, 1769 E. Moody Blvd. building 3, Bunnell

Cost: Free

Details: Have you ever wanted to learn more about your Flagler County Sheriff’s Office? Those interested can sign up for the Sheriff’s Citizen Academy, which is a six-week behind-the-scenes look at the daily operations of all areas of FCSO. Classes are held every Tuesday and Thursday. You must be at least 18 years old, live or work in Flagler County, have no prior felony convictions and no misdemeanor arrests within the last twelve months.
