Community-wide garage sale

When: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 3

Where: Hidden Trails Community Park, 6108 Mahogany Blvd., Bunnell

Details: The public is invited to attend the garage sale. Call 295-0611 to reserve a space as a seller.

 

Monday, Feb. 5

Retired Educators Association of Flagler County meeting

When: 11 a.m., Monday, Feb. 5

Where: Florida Hospital Flagler education wing, 60 Memorial Medical Parkway

Cost: a discount lunch is available after the meeting

Details: Flagler County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Michael Lutz will speak about survival skills for seniors and children. Public invited. Call 246-6966.

Bird of a Feather Fest

When: various times on Feb. 9-11

Where: Palm Coast City Hall, 160 Lake Ave.

Cost: Some activities are free, others have fee

Details: The city of Palm Coast is offering a weekend of birding, photography, workshops, family activities and a special community presentation for everyone who loves nature and wildlife. For the full schedule, visit birdingfest.com.

PeaCee’s Big Backyard

Where: Palm Coast City Hall, 160 Lake Ave.

Cost: Free

Details: As part of the 2018 Birds of a Feather Fest, the Big Backyard will feature an exhibit and two shows by the Audubon Center for Birds of Prey in Maitland at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Guided bird walks for all ages will be begin at 8 and 10 a.m. as well as noon and 2 p.m.

Cost: Free, but advanced registration suggested

Details: Moose Peterson has traveled the world for 40 years photographing birds and other wildlife, and his photos have been published in more than 150 books and magazines. A limited number of tickets are available for a pre-event reception with Peterson. Sign up at birdingfest.com. While tickets are not required for the lecture, space can be reserved in advance through the registration site. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
