Sunday, Oct. 21

Dog and cat yoga

When: Puppy yoga at 1 p.m. and cat yoga at 2:30 p.m.

Where: Flagler Humane Society community room, 1 Shelter Drive

Cost: Tickets are $12 pre-sale and $15 day of

Details: Yoga Poses and Dog Noses and Meomaste Yoga is a fundraiser hosted by Meditation Mama Yoga and the Flagler Humane Society. All money collected will go directly to FHS. Any level of experience is welcome. Guests will participate in a 45-minute yoga flow with the shelter’s animals. New Jersey Social Club meeting

When: 1 p.m.

Where: Palm Coast Community Center, 305 Palm Coast Parkway NE

Cost: Free

Details: Tom Duncan from Flagler Museum will talk about airports at this month’s meeting for the New Jersey Social Club. The public is welcome. For more information, visit the group's Facebook page by searching "New Jersey Social Club of Palm Coast." The meeting is Halloween-themed, and it's requested that members wear costumes.

 

Compassionate Friends meeting

When: 5:30 p.m.

Where: 4 N. Old Kings Road

Cost: Free

Details: The Compassionate Friends is a nonprofit self-help bereavement support organization for families that have experienced the death of a child. The meeting is open to all parents, grandparents and siblings over 18 who have lost a child of any age. Call 610-428-3139.

 

Karaoke for a cause

When: 6-9 p.m.

Where: Hammock Wine and Cheese, 5368 N. Oceanshore Blvd.

Cost: $5 donation to participate in the karate challenge

Details: The Rotary Club of Palm Coast will assist in the fight to end polio on World Polio Day. There will be a karaoke competition, beverages and food. A trophy will be awarded to the winner of the karaoke challenge at the end of the event. Visit www.palmcoastrotary.org or call 846-5493.

Flagler Fun Coast Bed Race

When: 2:30 p.m.

Where: near Veterans Park in Flagler Beach

Cost: $100/team

Pastor appreciation at PCUMC

When: 10 a.m.

Where: Palm Coast United Methodist Church, 5300 Belle Terre Parkway

Cost: Free

Details: Palm Coast United Methodist Church will celebrate pastor appreciation during the 10 a.m. service. Reverend Dr. Kevin James, Sr. is the senior pastor and Reverend Theresa Waters is the congregational care pastor. Rev. Dr. Candace Lewis, Gulf-Central District superintendent of the UMC, will be the guest preacher. Refreshments will be served following the service. Call 445-1600 for more information.

 

FCAL’s 40th anniversary luncheon

When: 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Where: Hammock Beach Resort, 200 Ocean Crest Drive

Details: To celebrate 40 years of Flagler County Art League, the public is invited to participate in an afternoon of reminiscing, silent auction bidding, lunch, door prizes, a complementary mimosa and a cash bar. Zumbathon for breast cancer

When: 3-5 p.m.

Where: Flagler Palm Coast High School gymnasium, 5500 State Road 100

Cost: $20

Details: MPower Fitness will host the second-annual Party in Pink Zumbathon for breast cancer. Last year’s event brought in 75 women spanning from Jacksonville to Daytona Beach, raising $1,125 for breast cancer research. Proceeds raised for the event will go to The Zumba® Global Research Grant for Breast Cancer Prevention, a grant that annually generates over $3 million for Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation. AAEA fundraising gala

When: 6-10 p.m.

Where: Hilton Garden Inn Palm Coast, 55 Town Center Blvd.

Cost: $125/couple; $75/individual; $500 for a table of 8
