Bunnell resident Jacqueline Costa, 49, killed in car strike

Costa was crossing Mahogany Boulevard near her home when she was struck by a pickup truck.

Bunnell resident Jacqueline Costa was killed the evening of Jan. 12 after a pickup truck struck her in Daytona North.

Costa, 49, was walking across Mahogany Boulevard west of Avacodo Boulevard near her home at about 7:45 p.m. when she was struck by a  2000 GMC 1500 pickup driven by Bunnell resident Donald Allan Barwick, 51, according to a Florida Highway Patrol news release. 

Barwick was not injured and had no passengers. 

The investigation is ongoing, according to the news release.
