A wildfire is currently burning in the northwest part of Flagler County, near Old Brick Road, according to officials.

The fire, which began Saturday, March 26, consumed more than 100 acres by Monday, and officials said the fire is partially contained.

Drift smoke will be noted across parts of the county, but the fire is not a threat to populated areas at this time, according to www.flagleremergency.com. Division of Forestry and Flagler County Fire Rescue crews will continue to monitor the fire.

The Flagler County Board of County Commissioners have enacted a burn ban twice in the past three months, most recently March 1, because of a brush fire that scorched nearly 3,000 acres just north of Flagler County.
