Florida American Legion District 17 had its annual chili cook-off at the Emory Bennett VA Nursing Home in Daytona Beach.

Legion posts in the district entered their best chili and the residents of the nursing home sampled the various entries.

Flagler American Legion Post 115 won the first place trophy, a Red Pepper trophy, for the 2016 Chili cook-off. The trophy was presented to the Post at a recent meeting.

Donations were collected during the event to benefit the Emory Bennett Nursing Home.
