+ Former School Board member jailed
Former School Board member Edward Herrera, 42, of Flagler Beach, was arrested Sunday, Nov. 21, and booked into the Flagler County Inmate Facility Nov. 22, on a battery charge after allegedly punching Scott Beat, 52, of Palm Coast, in the face. Herrera was released after posting his $500 bond.
Beat was treated at Florida Hospital Flagler for a black-and- blue eye and a laceration to his upper lip.
+ Three arrested in vehicle larcenies
Three Flagler County men were arrested Monday, Nov. 15, in connection with a string of vehicle break-ins in Palm Coast. Deputies were called at 11:27 p.m. to a contracting company on U.S. 1, when residents in the area reported hearing loud noises and seeing flashlights at the rear of the building. Deputies recovered several thousand dollars worth of stolen items.
The three charged are Michael Andre Brick, 20, of Bunnell; Allen Gary Stefancik, 18, of Bunnell; and Sean Ryan Fitzpatrick, 23, whose last known address is 20 Seabreeze Trail, in Palm Coast.
All three are each charged with 23 criminal counts, including grand theft. Fitzpatrick is additionally charged with felony fleeing and eluding, driving with an expired tag, and he had an outstanding warrant for driving with knowledge that his license was suspended.
+ City sets holiday trash schedule
There will be no trash/recycling pick-up on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 25. Customers regularly scheduled on Thursdays will have service on Friday, Nov. 26. Customers regularly scheduled on Fridays will have service on Saturday, Nov. 27.
