The wholesale club proposed for a planned commercial development on State Road 100 near the Flagler County Executive Airport is a BJ's, county planning documents reveal.

Documents from a March 16 Technical Review Committee meeting show the BJ's Wholesale Club as a 103,000-square-foot structure, including a liquor store and tire center, on the south side of S.R. 100 west of Seminole Woods Boulevard and an existing gas station.

The shopping center, called "Cornerstone at Seminole Woods" in county documents, is also expected to have a 10,700-square-foot variety store, a 6,500-square-foot sit-down fast casual restaurant, a 7,800-square-foot tire store and a 3,500 square-foot fast food restaurant with a drive-thru.

Altogether, they're expected to generate 7,603 daily vehicle trips, with the BJ's generating 4,373 of those, according to a traffic impact study performed for developer Matthew Development by LTG Engineering & Planning.

The nearest existing BJ's are in Port Orange and Jacksonville.
