Residents of Palm Coast with an interest in attracting wild birds to their backyards now have a new place to shop. Tamar Boorstin, the owner of Wild Birds Unlimited Nature Shop, announced the opening of the newest store in the Island Walk Shopping Center — located at 250 Palm Coast Parkway NE, Unit 503 — according to a news release.

Wild Birds Unlimited Nature Shop sells a variety of seeds and seed blends, bird feeders, bird houses and specialty garden and gift items.

“We’re the new home of the best bird food in town,” Boorstin said in a release. “Stop by and see the new store. We’ve brought nature indoors and created a very calming, relaxing environment.”

The store will be celebrating a grand-opening event on Jan. 27 and Jan. 28. The celebration will include nature talks, live birds of prey, prize drawings, refreshments, give-a-ways and product demonstrations.

In addition, a portion of sales from the event will go to the Humane Association of Wildlife Care and Education.

“We are very excited to share the hobby of backyard bird feeding with the residents of Palm Coast,” Boorstin said. “This hobby is second only in popularity to gardening and is enjoyed by over 53 million Americans.”
