Biz Buzz: Smiles on Cypress Point to host free dentistry day

In celebration of the office's fifth anniversary, Smiles on Cypress Point, located at 85 Cypress Point Parkway, will be hosting a free dentistry day for residents of Palm Coast and the surrounding communities.

The business will be providing child cleanings and adult extractions to patients between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 5. The goal of the event is to provide free dental care to the growing number of Americans without dental insurance.

"Dental health is a vital part of a person’s overall health," Dr. Tedra Beckton said in a release. "Through this event, we hope to educate patients on the importance of dental health and encourage them to adopt an ongoing oral care regimen."

Scott and Todd Vanacore, owners of Vanacore Homes, opened a fourth storage facility to their Stor-It Self Storage division at 3700 E. Moody Blvd., Bunnell. The 9-acre property has a six-building self-storage facility with 180,000 square feet of storage space.
