In celebration of the office's fifth anniversary, Smiles on Cypress Point, located at 85 Cypress Point Parkway, will be hosting a free dentistry day for residents of Palm Coast and the surrounding communities.
The business will be providing child cleanings and adult extractions to patients between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 5. The goal of the event is to provide free dental care to the growing number of Americans without dental insurance.
"Dental health is a vital part of a person’s overall health," Dr. Tedra Beckton said in a release. "Through this event, we hope to educate patients on the importance of dental health and encourage them to adopt an ongoing oral care regimen."
- Adventist Health System — which includes the seven Florida Hospital facilities in Flagler, Lake and Volusia Counties — was named the 2017 Most Wired health system for the fifth straight year, according to a survey released by the American Hospital Association’s Health Forum. The survey examines how organizations are using IT to improve performance.

Scott and Todd Vanacore, owners of Vanacore Homes, opened a fourth storage facility to their Stor-It Self Storage division at 3700 E. Moody Blvd., Bunnell. The 9-acre property has a six-building self-storage facility with 180,000 square feet of storage space.
