Right at Home, an in-home personal care business with over 500 franchises worldwide, is planning to expand its franchise into Palm Coast, according to Chief Development Officer Eric Little.

Right at Home places caregivers in people’s homes to give the individual independence for as long as possible. Caregivers cook, clean, run errands, perform personal care such as bathing and bathroom assistance, and can provide companionship.

“Often times, staying home is the last symbol of independence, so they want to hold onto that,” Little said. “They want to stay for as long as they can.”

Right at Home, which has been franchising for almost 17 years, has been in Florida since 2002 and now has 45 territories, consisting of about 30,000 seniors each, in the state. Each franchise is independently owned and operated.

According to Little, 25% of Flagler County is over the age of 65, making it an attractive location to expand in to.

“I think this is going to be a really good business for somebody here,” he said. “It’s going to be a business with a lot of potential customers, especially as the area continues to grow.”
