+ Hayward Brown executive earns CIC designation
Donald O’Brien, account executive and chief financial officer of Hayward Brown Flagler Inc., has completed the education program sponsored by the Society of Certified Insurance Counselors and has earned the CIC designation. He is one of 29,500 insurance agents and professionals nationwide who have earned the designation.
O’Brien has been an active member of the community since 1990, including serving as a past chairman of the Flagler County Chamber of Commerce & Affiliates and is a current member of the board of Enterprise Flagler.
+ Triplett Title: FCAR Affiliate of the Year
Scott James Triplett, owner of Triplett Title, in Flagler Beach, was awarded the 2010 Affiliate of the Year Jan. 6, at the Flagler County Association of Realtors Annual Installation Banquet.
Triplett Title has 11 years of experience in the industry and has been a member of the association since 2009.
+ ‘Hell’s Kitchen’ winner caters bank event
Federal Trust Bank’s Palm Coast branch, at 108 Central Ave., will host an open house 5:30-7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 19. The event will feature a live radio remote from K92 FM, food from Back from Hell Catering, owned by Danny Veltri, past winner of “Hell’s Kitchen,” and a chance to win a red 2011 Camaro. In addition, when a new account is opened, the bank will start the account with $50.
+ Leadership Flagler applications due soon
The Flagler County Chamber of Commerce & Affiliates is currently accepting applications for Leadership Flagler, a program that prepares the leaders of tomorrow and inspires them to become active community trustees.
The three-month program focuses on business, government, health and human services, art and culture, agriculture and growth management.
Fifteen candidates representing a cross section of Flagler County are selected each year though a competitive selection process, which considers each applicant’s demonstrated leadership skills, community involvement and willingness to invest the time and energy required by the program. Tuition is $500 ($700 for nonmembers).
