+ Down to Earth Pottery opens

Heather Wales got her start in poverty while in high school, but after majoring in graphic design in college, she spent 20 years doing design work in the corporate world. The whole time, she took pottery classes whenever she could.

Eventually, she left the corporate world and opened her own pottery studio in New Jersey. Now, she’s bringing a studio to Flagler Beach. Down to Earth Pottery celebrated its grand opening in December. The studio sells handmade pottery and jewelry made from natural stones and clay. It also offers pottery classes for all experience levels.

The studio is open Tuesdays to Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and until 5 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays at 805 N. Oceanshore Blvd. in Flagler Beach. Call (973) 768-6158.
