+ Smooth jazz hits local radio
A new smooth jazz radio slot is coming to local Palm Coast radio, thanks to a 300-signature request from residents.
Jazz will play during a timeslot called the Sunday Brunch, which will air from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. starting Dec. 2 on Easy Oldies 100.9 FM, and at the time each Sunday after.
“If you had 300 customers come in your store asking for a certain flavor, you’d get it from them,” said David Ayres, Flagler County Broadcasting’s vice president and general manager, in a statement. “That’s what we did.”
The Sunday Brunch features a Top 20 countdown of contemporary jazz music hosted by Allen Kepler from 9.a.m. to 11 a.m.
“It’s a great way to hear new music moving up the charges by the biggest names in the business,” Keppler said.
Then, starting at 11 a.m., host Kenny G. and company provide a showcase of smooth jazz. Easy Oldies can also be heard worldwide at easyoldiesradio.com or on Tune in Radio, a mobile app.

Law firm Chiumento Selis Dwyer is working with the United Way of Volusia-Flagler Counties for a holiday food drive. The firm has pledged to donate 10 pounds of food to United Way for every new like on its Facebook page.
The law firm started its campaign with 300 likes. Its Facebook page is at www.facebook.com/palmcoastlaw.
“We know some families are struggling to put food on the table,” Michael Chiumento III said in a statement. “We want to ensure parents and children have adequate meals to help make their holiday brighter.”
