Betty Joe Chapman
1938-2020

Betty Joe Chapman, 81, of Palm Coast, Florida, passed away on March 17, 2020 at Stuart F. Meyer Hospice Care Center in Palm Coast. 

She was born on June 25, 1938 in Minden, LA to the late Henry and Eula Rowe. Betty attended Livingston University. She was a veteran of the U.S. Navy where she proudly served her country. Betty’s career included being founder and owner of Haven House in Stamford, Connecticut, Event Planner firm in California, and Wofford Associates/Training and Consulting. She also served as Director of Family Life Center, Palm Coast, Florida as well as serving on several chairs for the African American Cultural Club in Palm Coast. Betty resided and retired in Palm Coast with her late husband, Jesse Chapman. She was a member of Palm Coast United Methodist Church and the Palm Coast Art Association. Betty loved and cherished her friends, enjoyed traveling throughout the USA, music and eating good food!, She loved socializing and entertaining with others and was passionate in serving others. She loved her sons and her family. Survivors include her sons, Mark, Michael and Christopher Wofford.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday March 27th, 2021 at Palm Coast United Methodist Church, 5200 Belle Terre Pkwy, Palm Coast, Florida 32137. Rev Dr. Kevin James, Sr. will officiate. The memorial service may be viewed at the Facebook page of Palm Coast United Methodist Church. Cards can be sent to: Christopher Wofford, P.O.
