Vickie Silvers, 83, has painted 30 canvases since 1975, and the walls of her home show the results. But, she said, “I don’t like to paint. I get more paint on me than on the canvas.”
Still, she said, she likes to give the paintings to family members. She has also had her work displayed at two banks in New York.
