The city plans to make low-cost improvements to the dog park at Holland Park.

The details given at the City Council workshop Tuesday, Feb. 8, included another gate for separate entrances for small dogs and large dogs, as well as a concrete slab for a cleaner place for owners to clean their dogs.

The city will also build an Americans with Disabilities Act-compliant path from the new gate to the gazebo and cover the oak roots with timber boxes and mulch.

Also at the meeting, the City Council said it had sent out a request for qualifications for a proposed City Hall.

An architect and construction manager will provide plans at little to no cost, with the understanding that if City Hall is ever built, those firms would win the contracts.
