Betwen December 2021 and March 2022, approximately 23,000 linear feet of fiber optic cable will be fitted by AT&T subcontractor Blue Streak Communications LLC to replace existing copper cable in residential neighborhoods in Flagler Beach, north of State Road 100/Moody Boulevard.

The Flagler Beach neighborhoods that will have the new fiber optic cable installed are all streets north of SR 100 to North 10th Street, and those residential streets from Central Avenue to Lehigh Avenue. The new cable will assist AT&T customers with cell-phone coverage and high speed internet access. At this time, there are no anticipated road closures that will be necessary to complete the installation process.

Prior to the commencement of any work on this project, staff from Blue Streak will work in unison with the city’s public works staff to locate water and sewer lines. Additionally, once the city’s utility lines have been located and marked, staff from Blue Streak will be placing door hangers on each residence in the affected areas prior to work commencing.

During the installation process, staff from Blue Streak will be in their company’s uniform, they will be carrying proper identification and they will not have any need to request access to your homes.

If you have any questions for the city of Flagler Beach about this project, please contact Lee Richards at 386-517-2000, Ext. 248.

Should you have any questions or concerns about the project that can be answered and/or addressed by staff at Blue Streak, please feel free to call them at 1-800-869-1615 or you can e-mail them directly at [email protected]
