AKA Sorority members walk for breast cancer awareness

Members of AKA throughout the nation were encouraged to walk on Oct. 24, wear pink and sport a pink umbrella.

Members of the Chi Delta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. took to Central Park at Town Center on Saturday, Oct. 24, in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This was an AKA national initiative in collaboration with the Susan G. Komen Organization.

Members of AKA throughout the nation were encouraged to walk on this date, wear pink and sport a pink umbrella to bring awareness to the importance of regular self-breast exams and annual mammograms.
