A1A construction suspended during Memorial Day weekend

The decision was made for safety reasons and to allow the area's businesses to take advantage of the busy time.

Construction projects along A1A in Flagler Beach will be temporarily suspended during the Memorial Day holiday weekend, according to the Florida Department of Transportation.

The decision was made for safety reasons and to allow the area's businesses to take advantage of the busy time.

The suspension will go into affect on Friday, May 24, and will be lifted after 6 p.m. Monday, May 27.
