Flagler County Sheriff’s Office celebrated $20,153 worth of lifesaving equipment awarded, thanks to Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation, during a dedication event on Oct. 9, at Firehouse Subs.

The grant includes 16 automated defibrillators (AEDs) that will be added to sheriff vehicles to help provide medical assistance if an individual goes into cardiac arrest.

In honor of October being First Responders Month, the Foundation’s goal is to raise $1 million through $1, $5, and $25 medallion donations available in each restaurant.

Painting with a Twist recently unveiled new designs for the American Association of University Women, to celebrate 100 years of Women’s Suffrage.   • Aleta Gerard has joined Parkside Realty Group and has earned the Pricing Strategy Advisor certification.
  • Lindsay Hardy and Sue Heidelberger, travel advisers from Travel Leaders in Palm Coast, recently completed an in-depth training program with Tauck, joining less than 1% of the company’s worldwide agents.
  • The African American Entrepreneurs Association announced that with Mike and Dan Panaggio, owners of DME Delivers and DME Sports Academy, have become members.

SuperWash goes pink in October

In honor of national breast cancer awareness month, SuperWash Express has partnered with the AdventHealth hospitals in Flagler and Volusia counties to raise funds for breast cancer care.Throughout October, SuperWash Express will donate $1 for every express lava wash and full-service lava wash purchased.
