A man was arrested after he allegedly sent messages that were sexual in nature to a minor, according to a charging affidavit by the Flagler County Sheriff's Office.

On Jan. 5, a woman notified FCSO in reference to locating a Facebook Messenger conversation between her 15-year-old sister and 50-year-old Elijah Jackson Jr., a family member. The woman told deputies that Jackson and her sister had been engaged in instant message conversations via phone "for an extended period of time," and Jackson eventually sent the girl a photograph of his penis. The language in much of the messages was also sexual in nature.

On Jan. 12, FCSO received a CyberTipline report that reported the following: "And adult male is enticing an apparent female minor to produce and send child exploitation imagery (CEI) via private messages. ... Conversations also indicate that he ma have access to the apparent minor as a family member."

Jackson was eventually arrested and charged with transmitting material harmful to minors and using a computer to seduce/lure a child.
