Allison Yeh usually watches the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade at home. But not this year. Yeh was chosen to perform with Camp Broadway this year in the New York City parade.

Yeh, 15, was one of 131 kids to be chosen from more than 1,000 who auditioned nationwide. She will begin rehearsals Nov. 19, in Manhattan.

In addition to walking the parade route, the kids will be dancing to and singing an original song, “There’s No Place Like Here,” in front of Macy’s at Herald Square, for the NBC cameras.

“One of the best parts about Camp Broadway is being taught by Broadway professionals,” said Yeh. “I’m really looking forward to doing just that all week, along with meeting other kids from around the country who love the same things I do.”

Yeh is homeschooled and attends Atlantic Vibe Performance Academy. She is also a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church.
