RSS FeedThere are times in golf — Tiger Woods and Rory McElroy are two examples — where youngsters are blessed with gorgeous golf swings at young ages.
I’m not alone in saying that sports are my way of life.
When Bubba Watson said in a press conference, “Hopefully, I keep having the passion to play golf and keep doing what I’m doing,” it struck home because every one of us whacking away on the links feels the same way.
Why do I like the Trinity Challenge as a special golf event? Because it’s like the Arnold Palmer Tournament: Every last dime goes to those in need.
I’m nowhere near as good at this game called golf as are the wonderful guys I play with, but I do know that our game needs more women to get involved, including youngsters who have moved up to the high school level.
The worst mistake in golf that haunts me to this day came as a young broadcaster covering a state golf championship in New Hampshire.
No one said or thought that restoring the beloved Matanzas Woods Golf Course would be easy, but the Golf Group of Palm Coast LLC is giving it one heck of a good shot.
Chad McFee, of Riverbend Drive, came to the aid of a fallen golfer at Palm Harbor one afternoon as he prepared for a round.
If there’s something missing in golf these days, Pine Lakes will fill that void with a mighty show Sunday, Feb. 5, and it’s free to see.
Danny Gerhard, a member of the Flagler Palm Coast High School golf team, is off to a great start in life as well as golf, but his contributions continue to get better with each passing month.
