Lifecoach Church collects supplies for South Floridians affected by Irma

The church has sent volunteers to help restore Flagler Beach, but is now expanding its efforts to South Florida and looking for donations.

While Lifecoast Church in Palm Coast has sent crews of volunteers to help with post-Hurricane Irma cleanups and repairs in Flagler Beach, Administrator Jamie Ballou said the church is expanding its efforts to South Florida.

Lifecoast Church is spearheading a project with other local churches to collect needed items for South Floridians affected by the storm. Lifecoast parked a large truck at the Fair Trade Cafe, located at 160 Cypress Point Parkway, Building D Unit 103, to collect donations from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 16. The church will collect more donations at the same location from 1-4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 17.

"Our church has a connection with an ARC church in Ft. Myers and in Naples who will distribute goods to people in that area who are in such terrible shape and have nothing left," Ballou said. "They are having a hard time getting any supplies."

Those interested in donating non-perishable goods, water and other hurricane-relief necessities can drop off the materials at Fair Trade Cafe from 1-4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 17.
