1:51 p.m. UPDATE
Both Matanas wrestlers lost their first-round matchups via the pin.
James Rumph and Steven Moseley will look to advance through the consolation bracket.
11:30 a.m. UPDATE
Both FPC wrestlers won their first-round matchups via the pin, according to Matanzas coach John White.
Alfred Shavers defeated Andrew Mashburn, of Countryside (Clearwater). Mashburn came into the match with a 43-9 record.
Kosachiner pinned Devon Lira, of Western. Lira won his region and came into the meet with a 23-6 record.
White said James Rumph and Steven Moseley should be on the mat for their first-round matchups within the hour.

The Flagler Palm Coast and Matanzas wrestling teams are in Lakeland today for the Class 2A and Class 3A state finals.
Flagler Palm Coast has two wrestlers there: Alfred Shavers, in the 113-pound class, and Jake Kosachiner, in the 120-pound class.
Matanzas has two wrestlers, as well: James Rumph, in the 220-pound class, and Steven Moseley, in the 285-pound class.

The Flagler Palm Coast High School Future Business Leaders of America class donated $580 to Florida Hospital Flagler Foundation’s breast cancer fund, which provides screening mammograms, diagnostic studies and education to local qualified women who are uninsured and seeking assistance. -
