Twenty-five volunteers, both children and adults, came together Saturday, Oct. 23, to ensure that Make a Difference Day, sponsored by United Way’s Women’s Initiative, was a success. The volunteers collected more than 800 pounds of food to be given to the Flagler Resource Center Food Pantry, in Bunnell, and Grace Community Food Pantry. Volunteers also created 230 homemade birthday cards for shut-in and homebound seniors.
