Changing of shoes: Rivera celebrates Quinceañera

Kassandra Rivera, daughter of Madeline and Luis Rivera, of Palm Coast, celebrated her Quinceañera July 28, with a mass at Santa Maria del Mar Catholic Church and a reception at the Hammock Dunes Club.
The birthday girl was accompanied by her attendants, Lily Rivera, Ciena Rivera, Gabriella Quadara and Yaneliz Rivera and escorted by her cousin Tony Alvarado. Kassandra’s God parents, Maribel and Manuel Alvarado were also part of the ceremony.

Three pit bulls involved in the May 5 mauling of a Flagler County woman were scheduled to be put down Wednesday, according to Diane Voigt, of the Flagler Humane Society.
