On Friday, Aug. 18, two boys and one girl from Spain will arrive to the area, to participate in the PAX Program of Academic Exchange and attend Flagler County high schools.
The group is looking for welcome families for these students to host them for four to six weeks until permanent families can be found.
Host families provide a bed, meals and a supportive environment. Students all speak English and come with their own spending money and medical insurance. They should be given chores.
Community coordinator Susan James has hosted 19 students in the past 15 years and has overseen 77 exchanges. Email stepinflorida@aol.com or call 904-806-1392. For more information, visit www.pax.org.
